Hurry Up And Wait – Behind The Music
This song came together in fast spurts of writing – over the course a year. Then it took me another year to release it!
The music came to me in a flash while I was messing around on guitar in April 2021. It all came together in few days – music for the chorus, verses – even the guitar solo. But I had no idea what the melody would sound like, or what it would be about.
It was about a year later when the line “I can’t get around it/I can’t get over it” came up. It soon became clear that the song would be about a love (or an infatuation) so intense it hurts. The rest came together in a few days – hyperspeed compared to nothing for a year!
